i used the imperfect tense because that describes an action that happened over a long period of time and the passato prossimo is only one instance.
and it wasn’t just an instance that made me fall in love with you.
innamorarsi is my favorite word in italian. i think the fact that their language has a verb that literally means “to fall in love” makes it the most beautiful language in the whole world.
